Charlie Duncheon is a senior advisor with Ironheart Corporate Advisory focused on the IoT, robotics, 3D printing and automation markets, with a particular focus on connecting emerging technologies and entrepreneurs with leading global brands in manufacturing and industrial technologies.  

Charlie is currently a mentor to early stage technology companies in the Plug and Play accelerator in Silicon Valley.  Previously, he was the cofounder and CEO of Grabit, Inc., a spin-out from SRI utilizing electro-adhesion technology backed by Samsung, ABB, Nike and other financial investors.  He was the founder and CEO of EIG America, Inc., a spin-out from a South Korean lithium ion battery manufacturer.  He was the CEO of Artificial Muscle, Inc., an electroactive polymer actuator company sold to Bayer Materials.  He was chief commercial officer for companies that publicly listed during his tenure, including Adept Technology (robot manufacturer) and Fared Robot Systems (robotic systems integrator).  He also served on the Board of Directors of Mesh Dynamics, Inc., which was an early mesh networking company in the IoT market. 

Charlie served on the Robotics Industries Association (RIA) board of directors for eight years, including being elected as its president.  He served as the U.S. representative to the United Nations Federation of Robotics, and was chairman of the Automation Technologies Council board of directors.  Charlie is the author of a number of publications pertaining to advanced industrial technologies.
